BNANAZ SWEETS is a poet and lover of house music. BNanaz Sweets is living her dreams. She began writing poetry in her early teens after the experiences of a first love and a broken heart. She con- tinued to write in her personal journal throughout her adulthood and never once thought that she would write poetry.
In 2010, she began writing short poems and posted them on Facebook. She received overwhelm- ing responses of compliments and encouragement to write a poetry book and share with the world. In October 2012, she began to combine spoken word visual art and house music; Urbane Floetix Movement was born. This movement has grown exceptionally since its inception, and continues to grow to inspire and educate its clientele.
BNanaz Sweets’ poetry focuses on the celebration and the simplicity of life’s challenges. She un- apologetically speaks about self-love, the beauty of a black woman, and their experiences, which inspired her to write her first poetry book called, “My Poetry.”
She is currently branching out to a wider realm of needs for all women. BNanaz Sweets is the found- er of
She-Is.org, a non-profit empowerment organization that will encourage sisterhood among all women. “Being a woman is hard enough, but being a woman who lacks self-love, respect and aspirations is just suicide.”
Peace!
